The History

Between 2003 - 2006 the race was held at Stapleford Park Hotel, a rural 10k two lap course around the grounds of the Hotel and the Leicestershire lanes. In 2007 the race was cancelled due to foot and mouth; the course passed over half a mile of farm land.

For 2008, we have brought the race back into Melton Mowbray, to be run from the Defence Animal Centre, and back to it's original distance of 5 miles.

Past winners of the Chris Ingram 10k at Stapleford Park are:

2007: Race cancelled due to foot and mouth precautions
2006: Steve Platts (33.04), Nicki Nealon (37.08) - results, photos
2005: Paul Richardson (31:21), Kate Ramsey (35:21) - results, photos.
2004: Tim Hartley (34:11), Nicki Nealon (38:10) - results, photos.
2003: Ian Grime (32:23), Tara Krzywicki (36:47) - results, photos.

Prior to 2003, the race was run in Melton Mowbray over a distance of five miles.
